Christine Crivello, co-owner of HIP Studio, has called the South Bay home for 14 years. After graduating from Loyola Marymount University, she spent 10 years in the music and fashion industries before finding her passion for health and fitness. Once she discovered the amazing toning and sculpting benefits of Pilates, she was hooked. Christine earned her Pilates certification from Body Arts and Science and met future studio partner Amber the same year. The two share the desire to make fitness fun, effective and sustainable. They opened HIP Studio to provide the perfect blend of intensity and variety in order to reshape the body and maximize results.
amber susa jewett
Co-owner Amber Susa Jewett lives in Redondo Beach with her husband Chris. An exercise enthusiast with a gymnastics and dance background, she chose to pursue her passion for health and fitness full-time after years of working as an actress and dancer. Amber is a certified personal trainer, speed & agility coach, TRX instructor, Zumba instructor, and STOTT Pilates instructor, and continues to explore new ways to challenge herself and others. She is thrilled to combine her love for exercise with her passion to motivate and inspire to co-create the ideal fitness environment with her HIP Studio partner Christine.

Growing up in North Carolina, Maggie McKaig trained competitively as a gymnast and swimmer, ran cross country, was a high school cheerleader, and spent four years as a collegiate swimmer at the University of North Carolina, Wilmington. After moving to Los Angeles in 2008, Maggie competed in her first marathon and shortly thereafter, discovered Pilates. She immediately noticed a difference in her body and was inspired to get certified to teach. Maggie loves that the workout appeals to people from all walks of life and enjoys sharing her broad fitness background with clients and helping them reach the next level.
brandi albright
Brandi Albright worked for nearly a decade in retail and online media before finding her true passion in fitness. She has an intimate knowledge of the benefits of combining healthy living with the power of movement and strives to share this with students. Brandi is certified in the East Coast "Classical" method of Pilates and holds certifications in TRX, SPX Real Ryder Cycling and RYT Power Yoga. Drawing from her knowledge of anatomy, movement and fitness, she aims to create an intense workout to inspire students to learn more about their own bodies and work at their maximum levels.
suzie collis
Originally from Michigan, Suzie Collis began her career as a fitness instructor. She moved to Los Angeles in 1992 and studied under first generation Pilates instructor Romana Kryzanowka. Today she continues her education by traveling the country taking classes and studying with master instructors. Suzie is dedicated to bringing new ideas to class to continually challenge students so they can reach their full potential. Her classes are challenging, motivating, unique, fun and fulfilling. Suzie focuses her attention on each student, making sure the body is in alignment for every posture. Students leave feeling worked but their bodies are smiling!
marla wedge
Marla's fitness classes offer a playful based mix of postures & movements. Having taken many of the finest study programs offered here in Los Angeles and around the country, Marla is certified in High Intensity Pilates and Yoga. Teaching since October of 2000, she brings enthusiasm, humor, compassion and intelligence to her teaching leaving students empowered, refreshed, motivated, and restored.
heidi revay
Heidi has always had a love for fitness, but found her calling when she was introduced to Pilates. She has her Pilates certification through Physical Mind Institute as well as her TRX certification. She feels that everyone can benefit from Pilates and she wants to share her passion. "I was born to teach, because when I'm engaging a person and/or crowd my spirit turns on and all of the chatter of my mind fades away to allow me to fully engage." Heidi's personality is happy, fun, upbeat and creative, which helps her meet and surpass the goals of her students.
dorothy mcgatlin
Dorothy McGatlin grew up dancing in Arizona. In college she danced for the University of Arizona Pomline and was president and a choreographer for the Repertory Dance Group at the University of Puget Sound. She moved to Los Angeles in 2005 as a member of Teach For America. With a background in teaching dance she created the dance program at Los Angeles Academy Middle School in South LA and discovered her love for Pilates. Trained in the BASI Pilates method and a licensed Zumba instructor she wants each client to get a challenging, balanced workout and leave feeling stronger and happier.
